Srinagar, Nov 25 (KNO): The beautiful and chilled waters of Dal Lake turned cinematic on Tuesday as a Kannada film crew, including the Director, Actress and Actor rolled cameras for their latest project in Srinagar.
Sharing details with a select group of media, the film’s Director A.R. Vikhyath, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said it feels very good to be here. “We waited six months to come and shoot here. We are feeling very safe and it’s nice to work in Kashmir as everyone is supportive here.”
The crew also praised the coordination between local authorities and security agencies, saying the arrangements made filming “smooth and comfortable.”
A local houseboat owner said it felt good to see cameras back on the lake. “When film crews come, it brings work for many of us Shikarawalas, guides and small vendors,” he said.
A crew member also thanked the people of Kashmir, J&K Police, CRPF and others. “We have been provided ample security for all crews at all locations and the arrangements here are amazing,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that the shoot is part of the continuing efforts under the Jammu and Kashmir Film Policy 2021, which has drawn renewed interest from both Bollywood and regional industries eager to capture the Valley’s natural beauty—(KNO)
